Eating Las Vegas co-author and flamboyant man-about-town Al Mancini is the guest host for NYT’s “Diner’s Journal” feature, where he answered readers questions about all things Las Vegas and dining for a week.

Al Mancini is a conspicuous character in a city full of them — Las Vegas, where he is a restaurant critic and journalist. From graduating from Brooklyn Law School, to tending bar at CBGB’s Pizza in the East Village, to writing reviews of strip clubs, he has followed an unorthodox path to the luxurious dining rooms he now frequents.
